The parenting paradigm has vastly evolved since we were kids. Today’s parents are both teachers and pupils to their children.

The harsh reality of life is that it goes on – No.Matter.What.  Life has a way of knocking one down in the worst ways but the choice to swim or drown is ours.

A part of me is exhilarated with his growth and development, but the other part still searches for the little baby who needed his mommy much more. A part of me is relieved that he is more independent and needs less care, but the other part still wants to cut the sides of his toast and hold his hand while he’s climbing down the stairs. A part of me is excited to hear him read books, but the other part misses the slurry speech and the mumbled words that only I could understand. Such is Motherhood!

Did you know that Material Wealth and Happiness are linked up to an optimum level, after which it stops giving you substantive pleasure? It’s the ‘law of diminishing returns’ on hyperdrive! True happiness is in enjoying the gifts that you already have, not in the desires you seek!

A lifetime of dreams taken away in a whiff. A person reduced to only memories….Covid is real, and fatal. Do your bit to stop the spread – it’s a plea!
